Rally to be held to free Donta Sharpe
GREENVILLE, Pitt County - A rally will be held today in support of the release of Dontae Sharpe that will include the Rev. Al Sharpton and Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II.
Sharpe is the Greenville man who is in jail for murder and has now spent more than half his life in prison for a crime he says he didn't commit. Several rallies have been held in support of Sharpe's release.
The rally will be held at 7 p.m. at the Phillippi Church of Christ in Greenville. In addition to Sharpton and Barber, members of the Pitt County NAACP, Forward Together Moral Movement & National Action Network.
