'Tools for Back to School' helps raise thousands for Craven Co. Schools
NEW BERN, Craven County - Publix recently held their "Tools for Back to School" program, which helped raise $7,000 for school supplies in Craven County.
The program benefits Craven County Schools through Partners in Education. The money was raised through Publix shoppers who were able to donate whatever they could to the cause.
A presentation was made to Ashley Faulkenberry, principal at Trent Park Elementary, as a representation of the school supplies that were collected and disbursed to all Craven County Schools through PIE's Stuff the Bus, officials said in a press release.
Ms. Faulkenberry's students were so thankful that they decided to present the management of Publix with thank you cards.
