Power restored in Jacksonville following power pole damage

JACKSONVILLE, Onslow County - A power outage in reported in Jacksonville Monday morning affected more than 1,500 customers.

According to the Duke Energy Outage Map, more than 1,500 customers were affected, but power was restored by the 9 a.m. hour. The outage was first reported around 5:40 a.m.

Duke Energy said the cause of the outage is due to a vehicle damaging their equipment.
