Two shot in two separate incidents in Pitt County

GREENVILLE, Pitt County - Greenville Police are looking for a suspect in a shooting that occurred at the Sheetz on North Memorial Drive.

The Pitt County Sheriff's Office also is investigating a shooting that happened before the one at Sheetz, this one at the Night Train Bar in Bethel.

In the Sheetz shooting, according to Greenville Police Sergeant Phil Rollinson, officers responded to a shooting at the Sheetz on North Memorial Dr. around 3:30 a.m. on April 9 after a report of shots fired. They found a 29-year-old male shot in the leg.

The victim was taken to Vidant Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. He has since been treated and released. Sergeant Rollinson says the shooting is currently under investigation and there is no suspect in custody.

The Greenville Police Department did acquire surveillance images from the Sheetz and have released pictures of a suspect.

In a press release from the Pitt County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a dispute at the Night Train Bar. Deputies arrived and cleared the parking lot. The owner of the bar who called in the dispute never mentioned shots being fired and didn't have additional information.

Deputies assisted Greenville Police at the Sheetz location, which is where officials said the crowd from the Night Train Bar went to next. While at Sheetz, deputies learned of a shooting at the Night Train Bar and headed to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville to investigate.

Officials said that victim was shot once in the thigh and was in stable condition. Anyone with information in this incident is asked to call Pitt-Greenville Crime Stoppers at (252) 758-7777.
