Pitt County NAACP to hold meeting to discuss families, mental health

GREENVILLE, Pitt County - The Pitt County NAACP will hold a meeting Sunday to discuss families and mental health.

The meeting will highlight topics pertaining to intervention, services and outcome to treatment, or lack thereof. The Pitt County NAACP said in a press release it will also address how mental illness has impacted families and discuss resolutions to a growing problem in the community.

The event will be held at The Lucille Gorham Intergenerational Center, located at 1124 West 5th St. in Greenville at 6 p.m. For more information, call Dr. Leon Johnson, mental health chair, at (252) 814-6596 or (252) 392-9457.
