Pine Knoll Shores issues no-swimming advisory
PINE KNOLL SHORES, Carteret County - The Town of Pine Knoll Shores is the latest to issue a black flag No-Swimming Advisory for all public beach access locations.
This comes on the heels of Emerald Isle issuing a similar warning in effect until further notice for the entire stretch of the 12 miles of beach in Emerald Isle. The Pine Knoll Shores warning has been issued until further notice.
In a press release, the Town of Pine Knoll Shores states all homeowner association and private home/condominium owners are strongly advised to stay out of the ocean until surf conditions improve. The National Weather Service has issued a Beach Hazard Statement for the area beaches that is expected to continued through Tuesday.
