PCSO searches for suspect in Family Dollar armed robbery


GREENVILLE, Pitt County - The Pitt County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying a subject accused of committing an armed robbery at a Family Dollar in Greenville on Thursday.

The incident occurred at 9:30 p.m. at the Family Dollar on 3019 NC 33 West, according to PCSO spokesman Lt. Kip Gaskins. According to Gaskins, an armed man entering the store, showed a handgun and demanded money, leaving the store with an undisclosed sum.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5-feet-10-inches tall, approximately 250 pounds, who was dressed in all black at the time of the robbery and wearing a bandana over his face. There is no surveillance footage available at this time.
