Pamlico County Heritage Day will feature music, food and educational displays
GRANTSBORO, Pamlico County - Pamlico County Heritage Day will be held on September 30 from 9:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Pamlico County Museum and Heritage Center in Grantsboro.
There will be music, arts & crafts vendors, food cooked on site, a bake sale, demonstrations of chores done the old time way, such as corn shelling and washing clothes in a wash pot at the event. Educational booths, a Revolutionary War Camp, an antique tractor display, an antique car or two, and fun and games for children and adults will also be highlights of the day.
The museum will be open and inside you can see the new exhibit, "In Search of a New Deal: North Carolina Photography from 1935 - 1941." The one-room School House and the Mayo Barber Shop will be open too.
There is no admission fee, though donations are welcomed. Proceeds will go to the support of the Museum and Heritage Center, which is located on Hwy 55 near Hwy 306 intersection (the Grantsboro light).
