JACKSONVILLE, Onslow County - An organization in Onslow County is offering parenting support and child care.

It's called the Peers Family Development Center. Executive director Tondrea Leach said all the services they offer are free and open to anyone in Onslow County. It offers resources like parenting classes and support groups, programs for teen parents and free child care.

"It's been a really great place to come and to be able to let them come, and I get a little misty eyed because you know because it's stressful sometimes with four kids," said Emily Greenough, a mother who participates. "And so it's been, you know, I really cherish this place."

Greenough said she is a military wife and mother of four adopted children. She said Peers has finally given her a place she can take the little ones once a week and get a much-needed break.

There's plenty of room and things to do for the children and parents.
