Onslow County hosts 22nd State of the Community Breakfast
MCAS NEW RIVER, Onslow County - Dozens of Onslow County stakeholders gathered for the county's annual State of the Community Breakfast Tuesday.
The State of the Community Breakfast was held aboard Marine Corps Air Station New River. More than 100 county leaders attended, including members of law enforcement, the Jacksonville City Council and Marine Corps representatives.
The breakfast is hosted by the Jacksonville-Onslow Chamber of Commerce. It is meant to help update everyone in attendance about new projects in the county.
"I love to spread the good word and news about what the county is doing," Onslow County Commissioners Chairman Jack Bright said. "(The breakfast) lets people know what we're doing and what it is all about and how we can save money and how our tax money is being spent."
