One of two suspects in non-fatal shooting arrested
JACKSONVILLE, Onslow County - One of the two men wanted in connection with a non-fatal shooting in Jacksonville last week has been arrested, authorities said.
The Onslow County Sheriff's Office said Jermain Emanuel Johnson turned himself in to the US Probation Department after OCSO deputies located and impounded his 2012 Chevrolet Equinox on Saturday.
He was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and possession of a firearm by a felon and was booked into the Onslow County Detention Center. His bond was set at $107,000 secured.
The remaining suspect in the April 26 shooting, James Lee Cameron, is still at large.
The victim in the shooting, Quentin Jamal Smith, is expected to recover from his injuries.
