Onslow County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit is asking for the public’s help locating a person of interest connected to a teenager who has been missing since early February.

Jasmine Rodriguez left home in Sneads Ferry February 1, 2018 at 4:15 p.m. and was last seen in the Jacksonville Mall at approximately 5:30 p.m. that evening. The 15-year-old is described as a Hispanic female who is 5’3 in height, 103 lbs., with brown eyes and long brown hair. She was last seen wearing a black short sleeve shirt with a NY symbol, a jean-colored long shirt, dark jeans with holes in them and white tennis shoes.

Images taken from Walmart located at 2025 N. Marine Blvd. in Jacksonville show Rodriguez and a black male getting into a red in color hatchback vehicle, parked in a handicapped parking space. At this time, the male is only wanted for questioning, officials said.

Photos posted to the Onslow County Sheriff's Facebook page show what the teenager looks like. However, officials say she may have changed her hair color back to brown. Rodriguez has a history of running away and was with her grandmother when she said she was going to walk to the store, but failed to return.

If anyone has information about Jasmine’s whereabouts, please contact Onslow County Sheriff’s Office at 910-455-3113, Detective Johnston at keith_johnston@onslowcountync.gov, or Crime Stoppers at 910-938-3273. Refer to case 2018-001813 when calling.

Crime Stoppers offers cash reward of up to $2,500 for information that is deemed of value or assistance to law enforcement. Information can also be anonymously texted via Text-A-Tip by typing TIP4CSJAX and your message to 274637 (CRIMES).
