NFL Player gives turkeys to his community

Harlowe, CRAVEN COUNTY - Harlowe is a small community near Havelock, quite the opposite of New York City where Bruce Carter now plays linebacker for the Jets. But that doesn't keep him from coming home.

"If you can't go home you can't go anywhere," says Carter. "This is where its at for me its where I call home so to get to take care of people in this community is a great thing."

This is the third year Carter has given turkeys to families in Harlowe, but its the first time he's actually been able to return home himself because the Jets are on a bye week.

Carter had more than 400 turkeys to give away and managed to do so in only 30 minutes.
