In the 60th annual Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament, one goal set out is to get service members on a boat for a day.

Marine Brad Cook got the chance to spend the day on the water with a team participating in the Big Rock. Cook is currently stationed at Cherry Point. He has a boat of his own that he uses to fish on the Neuse River. But Monday was an extra special day for him and he was thankful for the opportunity the Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament provided him.

"It's an amazing experience," Cook said. "I'm truly blessed to get to do this. It's a great organization, they ahve a great cause working with others like that. I'm truly thankful to be out here."
