STOKES, Pitt County - A man wanted for stealing a camper near Stokes in January was arrested Thursday, authorities say.

Raymond Summerlin II was identified as a person of interest in the case after Pitt County Sheriff's Office deputies connected him with a road rage report from Jan. 29 near the area where the camper had been stolen. Witness interviews allowed deputies to find the stolen camper in Beaufort County.

Summerlin was charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny, obtaining property by false pretenses and assault with a deadly weapon, the latter charge stemming from the road rage case. According to reports, Summerlin used his vehicle to force another vehicle into a ditch in the Jan. 29 incident.

He was booked into the Pitt County Sheriff's Office with a $25,000 secured bond.
