Man arrested after failing to deliver $6,000 worth of materials and work to homeowners
JACKSONVILLE, Onslow County - A man was arrested after he failed to deliver $6,000 worth of materials and work to local homeowners.
Onslow County Sheriff's Office officials arrested Jose Efren Sandoval of Jacksonville on November 6. He was charged with obtaining property by false pretense.
On August 17, a resident paid Sandoval a total of $6,000 to replace the roof on their house. To their surprise, the materials were never delivered to their residence and Sandoval never returned to do the work he was paid to do.
The citizen filed a report with the Onslow County Sheriff's Office, which led to Sandoval's arrest.
Bond was set by a Duplin County magistrate at $6,000 secured, officials said.
