Below is a full press release on the event.

=====

On Saturday, June 3, 2017, Kinston Teens will host its first "Splash Bash" Summer Celebration at Lions Water Adventure located at the Woodmen Community Center. The community is invited to attend this all-ages event, coinciding with the 17th birthday of Chris Suggs, Kinston Teens founder and CEO. Lions Water Adventure is home to a variety of water activities, including: a pool, three waterslides, a 5,000 square-foot kiddie lagoon, and a lazy river. In addition to the water activities, the Splash Bash will include performances from Kinston's award-winning majorette dance team, the Glamorous Girls, and the Hype Crew step team from Greenville, featured on America's Got Talent. Throughout the summer, Kinston Teens coordinates a variety of volunteer service and youth leadership programs that benefit the youth and young adults of the Kinston and Lenoir County area. These programs include an annual Summer Youth Leadership Summit, bi-monthly leadership skills trainings, community beautification initiatives, and more. "We're excited to host this amazing fundraiser event to benefit our summer programming," said Chris Suggs, Kinston Teens founder & CEO. "Kinston Teens is only able to achieve its mission with the financial support of our community, so it's imperative for us develop cool and engaging fundraising events that directly benefit the work that we do." Admission to the Splash Bash is $10 and can be paid at the gate at Saturday's event. More information about the event can be found at www.kinstonteens.org/splashbash or on the Kinston TeensFacebook page.
