Kinston PD arrests pair for attempted breaking and entering

KINSTON, Lenoir County - Kinston Police announced the arrest of two Kinston men on Monday morning who are accused of attempting to break in to a building late Saturday night.

Police received a call at approximately 11;15 p.m. Saturday of a possible break in at 509 East Gordon Street in Kinston. When officer arrived, they found four individuals - two of them juveniles - with a crowbar in their possession. A padlock to the exterior fencing around the building had been broken.

Police arrested Bernard Aaron Lynn and Travone Alexander Cannon, charging each with attempted breaking and entering and possession of burglary tools. Lynn was released after being issues a $10,000 unsecured bond and Cannon was booked into the Lenoir County Jail on a $5,000 secured bond.

The two juveniles were released to their parents and petitions for each are pending.
