Greenville Police respond to armed robbery at Family Dollar

GREENVILLE, Pitt County - Greenville Police responded to an armed robbery after 11 a.m. Thursday and are currently asking for help finding the suspect.

Police responded at 11:18 a.m. to 2530 S. Memorial Drive to a report of a robbery. A male suspect entered the business, said he had a weapon and demanded money. He left with an undisclosed amount of money. Nobody was hurt.

The suspect is described as 5-foot-9 with a beard wearing a burgundy, black and gray sweatshirt and jeans. Anyone with information is asked to call the Greenville Police Department (252) 329-4315 or Crime Stoppers (252) 758-7777. Crime Stoppers offers up to a $2,500 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
