Greenville Police investigating shooting
GREENVILLE, Pitt County - Greenville Police are investigating a shooting near Ridge Place, according to Kristen Hunter.
At approximately 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Greenville police officers responded to the 100 block of Ridge Place for the report of shots fired, according to Hunter.
Upon arrival, officers found a man suffering from a gun shot wound. The victim was transported to Vidant Medical Center with what appear to be non-life-threatening injuries. His name will be released at a later date, according to police.
Officers are still investigating a motive for the shooting; however, at this time it does not appear to have been a random incident.
