Greenville Police investigating armed robbery, victim hit on head


GREENVILLE, Pitt County - Greenville Police are investigating after three men broke into a home Tuesday.

Officials said they responded to the 1100 block of Evans Street at around 8:50 p.m. They said three males broke into the victim's home, one displaying a gun. The suspects took cash and marijuana and were last seen leaving in a white four-door vehicle.

Police said one of the suspects also struck the victim in the head. He was not seriously injured and did not require medical treatment.

Police said this was not a random incident and there is no ongoing threat at this time.
