Greenville PD searching for armed robbery suspect

GREENVILLE, Pitt County -

Greenville Police are searching for a man who held up the Five Points Food Mart Tuesday night at gunpoint.

GPD spokesperson Kristen Hunter said the suspect entered the store, located at 205 S. Memorial Drive, around 7:15 p.m. He was armed with a handgun and demanded money from the clerk, who complied, Hunter said.

The suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and there were no injuries reported. The suspect is described as a black male wearing a dark blue sweatshirt and jeans, whose face was covered during the robbery.
