Greenville PD makes arrest in armed incident at tobacco store
GREENVILLE, Pitt County - Greenville Police have arrested a local man following an armed confrontation at D's Drive Thru Tobacco Mart Tuesday night.
GPD says it arrested Chretwon Rogers, 29, charging him with robbery with a dangerous weapon and going armed to the terror of the public.
According to reports, officers were called to the tobacco store, located at 2753 East 10th Stret, shortly before 8 p.m., for reports of an armed confrontation.

After returning and discussing the matter with the clerk, an altercation ensued and Rogers went out to his vehicle, re-entering the store with a gun, which he placed on the counter, according to police. The store clerk then gave Rogers the change owed, according to the report. Officers stopped and arrested Rogers as he was leaving the parking lot of the store.
