Missing Beaufort County woman dies at S. Carolina hospital

A missing Beaufort County woman who was last seen in Greenville Monday was found in medical distress and later died at a South Carolina hospital.

Claudia Corbett Millan was found in Dillion County, South Carolina on Tuesday.

"The Dillon County Sheriff’s Office reports a witness saw Millan in medical distress and summoned help," officials said in a press release. "In spite of the live saving efforts of first responders and hospital personnel, she died at a local hospital."

The investigation into her death is being conducted by the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office, officials said.

The search is on for a missing Beaufort County woman who was last seen in Greenville yesterday.

Claudia Corbett Millan has been missing since yesterday afternoon and officials said family members and law enforcement are concerned about her mental status.

Repeated attempts to contact Claudia have been unsuccessful, officials said. She is 43-years-old, 5’5” tall and weighs about 205 pounds.

Officials said she was last seen wearing light blue jeans and a cream colored t-shirt. She is believed to be operating a blue/ gray 2005 Dodge Caravan with the license plate number ZXT 1481 and may be headed to West Virginia.

Anyone who has seen Claudia or knows her whereabouts, is asked to contact their local law enforcement agency or the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office at 252-946-7111.
