Driver cited after hitting three pedestrians in Greenville
GREENVILLE, Pitt County - A driver is facing charges after hitting three people crossing a Greenville intersection around 7 a.m. Wednesday.
Greenville Police say it happened at the intersection of East Firetower Road and Ashcroft Drive. Three people were crossing the intersection when they were struck by a vehicle driven by Christopher Dennis, 32, of Greenville. He was turning left from Ashcroft onto Firetower.
Kristen Hunter with Greenville Police says the car was traveling at a low speed and there were no serious injuries. One person was transported as a precaution and the other two did not require transportation.
The driver was cited for failure to yield to pedestrians in a crosswalk.
