Search for Mariah Woods enters fifth day with massive volunteer search
JACKSONVILLE, Onslow County - The search for 3-year-old Mariah Woods resumes Friday morning with what's expected to be the largest search yet. Onslow County Sheriff Hans Miller and the FBI have asked volunteers to join the effort.
Anyone who wants to join the effort should come to Dawson Community Church at 2311 Dawson Cabin Road between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. It is not going to be an easy search. Volunteers should expect to face rough terrain. You need to present an ID to participate in the search. You should bring water and snacks as well. The search will take several hours.
Former Craven/Carteret/Pamlico District Attorney says it's incredibly difficult to find evidence when dealing with rural areas like this part of Onslow County. He says that's the reason to have more people participate, but emphasized as did authorities, how important it will be to follow instructions.
