Onslow County man caught with copper wire
JACKSONVILLE, Onslow County - A Jacksonville man has been arrested for stealing copper wire and selling it to a scrap metal yard.
On April 28, 2017, Onslow County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a residence on Beth Lane for a report that several items, including copper wiring, had been stolen. The Investigation revealed that Christopher Paul Huie was responsible for the theft, according to a news release written by Onslow County Deputies.
Huie,38, of Dawson Cabin Road in Jacksonville was arrested on May 25.
He was charged with obtaining property by false pretense, felony larceny and possession of stolen goods. He was transported to the Onslow County Detention Center under a $15,000 secured bond.
