Beaufort County Animal Shelter looking to reunite stolen dogs with their owners

BLOUNTS CREEK, Beaufort County - More than two dozen dogs were seized at a Beaufort County home.

According to the ENC Shelter Dogs Facebook page, 27 dogs were brought into the Beaufort County Animal Shelter on March 22. According to the post, officials believe some of the dogs may have been stolen. The shelter is now trying to reunite the dogs with their rightful owners.

The dogs are being held until Wednesday and then they will be released for adoption.

If you recognize any of the dogs you are asked to contact the shelter. Owners must provide proof of ownership which includes vet records and/or pictures. You can contact the shelter at animal.control@co.beaufort.nc.us.
