Animal control investigating chemical burns on dog found in Duplin County

ROSE HILL, Duplin County - The Duplin County Animal Services department is investigating a case of animal cruelty involving the burning of a dog.

The department is seeking information from the public that can lead them to the individual responsible for causing what appears to be chemical burns to a good portion of the dog's body.

The dog was found Thursday afternoon in the 200 block of Huffman Road near the town of Rose Hill. Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Duplin County Animal Control at (910) 296-2159.
