ALDI to reopen its Winterville store, hosting ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate

WINTERVILLE, Pitt County - Later this month, ALDI will reopen its Winterville grocery store at 655 South Square Drive.

To celebrate the reopening, ALDI will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony on March 23 at 8:25 a.m. The public is invited to attend. Organizers say following the ceremony, the first 100 customers will receive a golden ticket, each containing ALDI gift cards with different amounts. Customers can also tour the store, sample products, and enter an on-site sweepstakes for a chance to win a year's supply of ALDI produce.

An ALDI spokesperson says thanks to input from customers, the Winterville store will present a new look, featuring a modern design, open ceilings and natural lighting. It will also be built from environmentally-friendly building materials, such as energy-saving refrigeration and LED lighting.

"We are pleased to showcase the enhanced ALDI look with an updated store for our Winterville community of smart shoppers," said Krysta Cearley, Salisbury division vice president for ALDI. "ALDI customers know we stand out from competitors for a reason: we offer high-quality, affordable groceries they can feel good about serving their families."

According to a press release, ALDI has more than 1,600 stores in 35 states, and serves more than 40 million customers each month.
