Wayne County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of a 34-year-old Goldsboro woman for possession of marijuana and prescription pills.

Keonda Levette Pearsall was pulled over by a WCSO deputy on Wednesday on Slocumb Street near Elm Street for a traffic stop. During routine questioning of Pearsall, the odor of marijuana was detected coming from the vehicle by the deputy.

Following a search of the vehicle, the deputy discovered marijuana in addition to hydrocodone pills, which is a Schedule II controlled substance.

Pearsall was booked into the Wayne County Jail on one charge each of simple possession of marijuana and possession of a Schedule II controlled substance. She was issued a $2,000 secured bond.
