Third person charged in October murder investigation
GOLDSBORO, Wayne County —
Goldsboro Police announced a third person has been charged in a murder investigation from last October.
Chantel M. Davis-Taylor was already in the Wayne County Detention Center on unrelated charges. She was served a warrant on Friday by investigators with the Goldsboro Police Department to accessory after the fact to a felony. Her bond was $150,000 secured and her court date was Monday.
Last week, officials with the Goldsboro Police Department arrested Tyquail D. Price of Audubon Avenue in Goldsboro and Islam S. Dove of Rose Street in Goldsboro were arrested and are each facing a count of murder along with three counts of discharging a weapon into an occupied property, two counts of injury to personal property and another count of injury to real property. Both are being held without bond plus $500,000.

On October 29th, 2017 at approximately 2254 hrs, Officers with the Goldsboro Police Department B-Shift Patrol responded to the area of 147 Dupont Circle in reference to a call of shots being fired. Moments later, Officers arrived in the area and found Terrell James laying in the front yard of 149 Dupont Circle suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Subsequently, EMS was called and later arrived on the scene. Mr. James was pronounced deceased by EMS. Mr. James death is being investigated as a homicide.
During the course of the investigation, suspects were identified and warrants for 1st Degree Murder, Discharging a Weapon into Occupied Property, Injury to Personal Property, and Injury to Real Property were secured on Tyquail D. Price and Islam S. Dove, both of Goldsboro, NC. Both subjects were already in custody at the Wayne County Detention Center on unrelated charges and were served the warrants on 02/08/18 by Investigators with the Goldsboro Police Department. Both received “no bond” on the 1st Degree Murder charge and an additional $500,000.00 secured bond each for the associated charges. Both subjects have first appearances scheduled for 02/12/18 in Wayne County District Court. The case remains under investigation with additional arrests anticipated.
An additional suspect was developed and a warrant for Accessory After the Fact to a Felony was secured on Chantel M. Davis-Taylor of Goldsboro, NC. Ms. Davis-Taylor was already in custody at the Wayne County Detention Center on unrelated charges and was served the warrant on 02/09/18 by Investigators with the Goldsboro Police Department. Ms. Davis-Taylor received a $150,000.00 secured bond and has a first appearance scheduled for 02/12/18 in Wayne County District Court. The case remains under investigation.
