Suspect on run after overnight IHOP armed robbery
GREENVILLE, Pitt County - An armed gunman made off with an undisclosed sum of money after an early-morning robbery at a Greenville IHOP.
At last check, police were on the hunt for a man wearing a ski mask, carrying a revolver. Greenville Police spokesperson Kristen Hunter said the suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and was last seen running in the direction of Harris Teeter.
The crime was reported at about 2:30 a.m. at the IHOP on 3010 Evans Street.
There were no customers inside the IHOP at the time of the robbery. None of the employees were injured.
GPD released a surveillance photo of the suspect, who is described as a black male, between 5-feet-7-inches and 5-feet-9-inches tall, wearing a white hat, a black mask, a black coat, black pants and brown boots.
