Greene County man arrested on drug charges, meth lab found
SNOW HILL, Greene County —
A Greene County man was arrested on drug charges over the weekend after officials found a meth lab last week.
Joshua Lynn Morris, 27, of Snow Hill, was arrested for outstanding narcotics charges on Sunday morning. The arrest came just a few days after investigators with Lenoir County Sheriff's Office investigated an unrelated case involving Morris, which led to the discovery of a meth lab in a home on Peter Grant Road.
The SBI Clandestine Lab Response Unit was called in to remove the lab. Greene County Sheriff's Office investigators also assisted.
During Morris' arrest, officials found marijuana and methamphetamines were found in his possession. He was charged with the following offenses:
- Manufacture Methamphetamines
- 4 counts Possess Precursor with Intent to Manufacture Methamphetamines
- 2 counts Maintain/ Vehicle/Dwelling/ Place for Controlled Substances
- Drug Paraphernalia
- Simple Possession of Schedule VI
Morris is currently behind bars in the Greene County Detention Center under a $110,000 secured bond. His first court appearance will be on May 11, 2018.
