Festivities going full steam for 34th annual Pigskin Pig-Out


GREENVILLE, Pitt County - This weekend marks the 34th Annual Pigskin Pig-Out in Greenville.

Events began Friday morning with the annual Pirate Golf Classic at Ironwood Country Club. Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium opened Friday evening and East Carolina University cheerleaders were part of the process accompany delivery trucks with their cargo of pork for the Parade of Pigs Tour.

The Relay for Life Walk was also held Friday at Minges Track.

Saturday, you can get BBQ plates to enjoy starting at $8 for a single plate, $20 for a tailgate package and $85 for 30-35 pounds of BBQ. You can pre-order at (252) 737-4500. Stop by and grab a plate of tasty BBQ and then catch the annual scrimmage at 2 p.m. at Bagwell Feild at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium.
