East Carolina baseball team announces 2018 schedule
GREENVILLE, Pitt County - the East Carolina University baseball team released its 2018 baseball schedule on Tuesday with 31 home games and 17 games against seven teams that made the 2017 NCAA Regionals.
The Pirates also face 13 40-win teams, 19 with 35 wins and 31 with 30 wins in 2017. The Pirates will play 18 of their first 28 games at home, including the 15th annual Keith LeClair Classic.
The season begins Feb. 16-18 at home against Western Carolina.
"Our 2018 schedule will be challenging and exciting," ECU coach Cliff Godwin said in a press release. "The American Athletic Conference is one of the best baseball conferences in the country and you are tested each weekend to play your best. The combination of playing in one of the toughest conferences along with our quality non-conference schedule will prepare us for postseason play. Pirate Nation, let's make sure to pack Clark-LeClair Stadium this year."
