Opinion: Jared Kushner continues to work toward achieving peace in the Middle East

WASHINGTON (Sinclair Broadcast Group) - White House senior advisor Jared Kushner continues to work on achieving peace in the Middle East.

Kushner traveled to the region this week, together with Special Representative for International Negotiations Jason Greenblatt. They meet with leaders and finalize the administration’s “peace plan.”

Kushner and Greenblatt are meeting with leaders from Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, Qatar and Israel. They are strategizing on how to resolve the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and getting feedback from these leaders on best practices or thoughts on how to achieve real peace.

One of the most significant successes of this presidency, the relocation of the United States embassy in Israel to Jerusalem was largely spearheaded by Kushner, who has taken on the Middle East as a large part of his portfolio.

This week further illustrates that he is on a track to success in creating long-lasting solutions by working closely with our allies throughout the Middle East.

Here is the bottom line: the administration has made great strides to achieve many of its foreign policy objectives. This administration is hoping to put the final details of it’s “peace plan” together very soon. While this is mostly a fact-finding mission to receive answers to key questions, I do believe that it shows serious progress is being made towards the ultimate goal of peace in the Middle East.
