Why is this happening?

Federal government policy is to provide more spectrum to the wireless communications industry. To that end, the federal government has purchased the broadcast spectrum of 175 TV stations across the country, including WFXI, in an auction. This is part of the Federal Communications Commission's plan to better meet the fast growing demand for wireless services. As part of this process WFXI is required terminate its over the air signal.

What if I am having trouble receiving WYDO?

Most viewers in our service area should have no trouble. For the best reception, we recommend purchasing a modern digital TV over the air antenna. Many of these are ultra-thin rectangle or square antennas and typically perform better than pre-digital rabbit ear antenna models. They are reasonably priced and widely available at electronic and online retailers. Reception may vary depending on your location. We recommend checking www.antennaweb.org to help determine the best antenna for your location.
