As if worrying about Hurricane Irma or Hurricane Jose isn't bad enough, we've got a line of strong thunderstorms to contend beginning Wednesday evening.

A line of storms currently stretching from Elizabeth City and the Virginia border down through South Carolina is approaching our area. As of 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, the National Weather Service in Morehead City/Newport has not issued any warnings. However, that could change as the storms get closer.

Eastern NC is now entirely in the marginal risk for isolated severe storms. Damaging winds and heavy downpours can be expected with the possibility of an isolated thunderstorm and hail in some parts also possible.
