Second suspect arrested in murder of Goldsboro man
GOLDSBORO, Wayne County - A second suspect in the murder of a Goldsboro man was arrested on Friday.
Goldsboro Police said Anthony Rhodes Barnes was arrested Friday afternoon and taken into custody. He was taken before a Wayne County judge who said he would be placed in the Wayne County Detention Center under no bond.
His next court appearance is Monday.
Robert Baymon died of his injuries at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville on Oct. 18. He was attacked by two intruders at his home at 516 Eason Street in Goldsboro on Oct. 11. Baymon was alert after the attack and was able to communicate with police. He was later transferred to Vidant with serious injuries, where he later died.
On Oct. 25, Kendall Price was arrested on Oct. 25 without incident, the first suspect arrested for murder.
