Police: Shots fired into vehicle, man arrested


GOLDSBORO, Wayne County - A man is accused of firing shots at another man sitting in a parked vehicle.

Goldsboro Police said the victim reported that a man he knew stood in the parking lot at 2605 Royall Avenue and fired shots about 1:30 p.m. Monday, hitting the vehicle. Raleigh Police arrested Cornelius Donnell Weeks on Wednesday on charges including attempted first degree murder, discharging a weapon into an occupied vehicle, and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Weeks was transported to Goldsboro and booked into the Wayne County Jail under $800,000 bond.
