Pikeville man arrested on drug possession charges

PIKEVILLE, Wayne County - A Pikeville man was arrested Monday by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office Drug Unit on four drug-related charges.

Jondre Terrell Spencer, 38, of 402 Sweeten Branch Rd. in Pikeville was arrested after an investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office Drug Unit and the North Carolina Department of Probation and Parole. He was charged with one count each of possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine, manufacture cocaine, felony maintaining a swelling and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was given a $5,000 secured bond. Officials said a warrantless search of Spencer's home was made on June 7 after a probation violation. Officers found powder cocaine, suspected crack cocaine, items of drug paraphernalia and equipment used to manufacture crack cocaine. Members of the Wayne County Sheriff's Office Drug Unit were contacted for assistance. As a result of the investigation warrants were secured and served Monday.
