One person dead after four wheeler flips over at Busco Beach


GOLDSBORO, Wayne County - One person is dead in Wayne County after an accident involving a four-wheeler. Wayne County Sheriffs' Office responded to the scene at Busco Beach, near 1243 Bryan Blvd., in Goldsboro around 12:10 a.m.

Deputies found three people injured. They included two women, and a man who was unresponsive and being administered CPR.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, preliminary evidence at the scene showed the driver was operating a "side by side" utility vehicle at Busco Beach and hit a mound of dirt. After hitting the mound of dirt, the utility vehicle rolled over and the riders were thrown off from the vehicle.

First responders declared the man, aged 30, deceased at the scene, while the two women were transported to Wayne U.N.C Health Care where they were admitted.

The individuals involved were from out of town and the names are being withheld at this time until proper notifications can be made.
