Mt. Olive woman arrested for forging daughter's signature on check
MT. OLIVE, Wayne County - A Mt. Olive woman is under arrest, charged with forging her daughter's signature to cash a check, authorities say.
Rachel Lee Dennington, 39, is charged with forgery of endorsement, uttering a forged endorsement and obtaining property by false pretense. She was booked into the Wayne County Jail on Wednesday on a $7,500 secured bond.
The charges stem from a report of a felonious forging of a check from Nov. 29, 2016. WCSO says Rachel Dennington forged the signature of her daughter, Heather Dennington, to get money at a Wells Fargo bank.
