Man arrested in biggest heroin bust in Wayne County history

MOUNT OLIVE, Wayne County - Officials are calling it the largest heroin seizure in Wayne County history.

Gabriel Ribera has been charged with trafficking heroin. Deputies and Drug Enforcement Agency agents searched Ribera's home on Emmaus Church Road outside Mount Olive on Monday and found $7 million worth of pure heroin weighing 10 pounds.

Officials said the stash would break down to 250,000 individual doses of heroin. Ribera is being held in the Wayne County Correctional Facility under a $1.5 million bond.
