Goldsboro Police arrest man in 2016 murder case
GOLDSBORO, Wayne County - A Goldsboro man has been arrested and charged with murder in a case from 2016.
Police said Ormond Qudre Cobb, 26, was arrested on Thursday in the shooting death of Shai Taylor Valentine. He is in the Wayne County Detention Center at the time for attempted murder in another case. He will remain in custody without bond. His first court appearance is Monday.
Police said they responded to the shooting call in the 100 block of Astor Court in Goldsboro on Oct. 28, 2016 at around 1:08 a.m. They found Valentine lying on the ground behind some of the apartments. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
