Goldsboro man arrested for possession of 3,000 doses of heroin, more

GOLDSBORO, Wayne County - A man is behind bars on a $1 million bond after an arrest by a drug task force in Wayne County.

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office announced Wednesday morning that Antonio Parker, 28, of Goldsboro, was arrested Tuesday on one count each of third level trafficking in heroin, first level trafficking in metamphetamine and possession with intent to sell or distribute marijuana.

The arrest came after a drug task force made up of officers from three different law enforcement agencies served warrants at two homes in Goldsboro. Officers seized 60 grams of heroin (equivalent to 3,000 individual doses), three ounces of crustal meth and four ounces of high-grade marijuana. The street value of the drugs was nearly $70,000.

WCSO said the investigation is ongoing and more arrests could be still to come.
