ECU Pirates car to start 38th in Sunday's NASCAR race
DOVER, Del. - The ECU Pirates car made it into Sunday's NASCAR race at Dover, qualifying 38th out of 39 cars.
Cody Ware, who is driving the ECU PIrates car in Sunday's AAA 400 Drive for Autism race (Fox Sports 1, 1 p.m.) qualified with a speed of 150.075 mph. That was faster than last-place qualifier Jeffrey Earnhardt.
Kyle Busch won the qualifying and will start first in Sunday's race.
In addition to Dover, ECU's colors will fly on RWR's #51 Chevrolet at the Crown Royal presents the "Your Hero's Name Here" 400 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on July 23rd, followed by the final race of the regular season at Richmond (Va.) International Raceway on Sept. 9 for the Federated Auto Parts 400.
