Colonial Pipeline hopes to reopen key line Monday or Tuesday
Houston,Texas - The Colonial Pipeline Company says they are hoping to reopen a key line that supplies gas to the South either Monday or Tuesday.
"Our priority remains the safety of our employees, the environment and the communities where we operate," said a spokesperson in a press release.
Colonial continues to ship as much gasoline and other refined products as available from Louisiana based refineries and other refineries on the Colonial system east of lake Charles, and will continue to do so as the markets return to normal, according to the press release.
The pipeline was closed due to a Harvey related refinery shutdowns. Governor Roy Cooper declared a state of emergency in the wake of the Colonial Pipeline Shutdown.
