Agritourism event slated for May 23

The North Carolina Agritourism Networking Association is doing a bus tour of three sites in eastern North Carolina on Tuesday, May 23.

From 7:45 a.m. to 2 p.m., the tour will stop at Simply Natural Creamery & Jersey Farm in Ayden, Benjamin W. Best Country Inn & Nooherooka Natural Beef & Pork in Snow Hill, and Raised in a Barn Farm in Chocowinity.The tour is designed for farmers with an interest in agritourism and starting their own operation.

Registration is $25 for farmers and $35 for non-farmers. The price includes breakfast, lunch and transportation. Registrations will be accepted through Friday, May 19. More information and online registration are available at http://nc-ana.org/NCANA/Eastern_Tour.
